Rewards of Ramadan

Ramadan Rewards

The reward is always embraced by ‘sincerity and intent’ and carrying good deeds in Ramadan is not so hard. Islam as a religion is being the merciful and Allah (S.W.T) being the most merciful that in everything we do, there are significant rewards already at hand.

Every year, the month of blessings; Ramadan brings us excitement, joy, bounty, devoutness and its recompenses are open to all whether you’re a Muslim or non-Muslim, you can still be a part of its faith, enjoy its holy culture and understanding the less-fortunate.

He says [in the hadeeth qudsi]:

“Except for fasting which is only for my sake, and I will reward him for it.

(Al-Bukhari, al-Fath, no. 1904; Saheeh al-Targheeb, 1/407).

  • Maintaining Taqwa in Ramadan

Allah says [meaning]: “O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you as it has been prescribed for people before you so that you will (learn how to) attain Taqwa” [Al-Baqarah, 2:183].

Indeed attaining taqwa means attaining the worship of Lord. It is mentioned in many Ayat of the Quran. Allah says,” The reward of the people of Taqwa is Paradise”. It is therefore interpreted from Quran to be quick in receiving the forgiveness from your Allah. For Allah loves those, who do good, who restrain from anger. For such, the reward is none other than forgiveness.

Ramadan Rewards

  • A Shield from Fire

When you fast, it makes an outer screen protector just like you have on your mobiles which wrap you up from committing sins and forbid you from attempting every little bad deed. Fasting keeps you away from quarreling, abusing, makes a balance on your intense relationship.

If somebody provokes you to fight in a state of fasting then you should say, ‘I am fasting’. There are two times when a person enjoys fasting, one at the time of breaking fast and other at the time when you will meet your Lord; then Allah will please because of fasting. The shield of fire is an everlasting reward for the Day of Judgement.

  • Opens the Door of Paradise

“In Paradise, there is a gate called Al-Rayyaan, through those who fast will enter, and no one will enter it except them; when they have entered it will be locked, and no-one else will enter through it.”

(Al-Bukhari, Fath, no. 1797).

Those who used to and fast will be called from the gate of Al-Rayyan will enter on the Day of Resurrection and no one but they will only enter it.

Out of reward, it will be said, “Where are those who fasted?’ They will get up, and none will enter it but them. When they have entered, it will be locked, and no one else will enter.” (Al-Bukhari, 1763; Muslim, 1947).

  • The Night of Qadr

The biggest reward of worship you can ever get on Laylat-ul-Qasr is better than a thousand months which is equal to more than lifetime worship. This is also applicable to giving charity during the Night of Power, Quran recitation, and prayers and so on. This Night of Decree is one of the major blessings of Ramadan.

About this night, Quran was sent to Prophet Muhammad and the prophet informed us that all our sins could be forgiven.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Seek it in the last ten days of Ramadan, when there are nine days left, and seven days left, and five days left.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari, 4/260)

  • Eid-ul-Fitr – A Beautiful Reward

For Muslims who fasted for straight 30 days in the month of Ramadan rewards, Eid-ul-Fitr marks the beautiful end of the holy month and a magnificent reward of Allah during which Muslims begins the day with prayer in mosque, make special eating, wear new clothes, meet and greet neighbors and exchange gifts to family and friends as a token of happiness.
