Importance of Daily Prayers (Salah) in the Holy Quran
One of the most crucial acts of worship mentioned in the Holy Quran, Salah‘s importance can be read in many of the Quran’s passages such as:
إِنَّنِىٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعْبُدْنِى وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكْرِىٓ١٤
“Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance”. (Holy Quran Surah 20, Verse 14)
وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ طَرَفَىِ ٱلنَّهَارِ وَزُلَفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلَّيْلِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱلْحَسَنَـٰتِ يُذْهِبْنَ ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ذِكْرَىٰ لِلذَّٰكِرِينَ ١١٤
“And establish prayer ˹O Prophet˺ at the two ends of the day and in the early part of the night. Indeed, good deeds do away with misdeeds. That is a reminder for the mindful.”. (Holy Quran Surah 11, Verse 114)
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ١ ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ فِى صَلَاتِهِمْ خَـٰشِعُونَ ٢
“Successful indeed are the believers. Those who humble themselves in their prayers”. (Holy Quran Surah 23, Verse 1 to 2)

Importance of Daily Prayers (Salah) in the Hadith of the Prophet(PBUH)
Salah’s importance can also be found in the Hadith of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) telling believers how much Salah matters on the Day of Judgement, and its importance as one of the main pillars of Islam. Some of the hadith mentioning Daily Prayers (Salah) are:
“The first matter that the slave will be brought to account for on the Day of Judgment is the prayer. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound. And if it is corrupt, then the rest of his deeds will be corrupt”. (Sahih al-Jami’, vol.1, p. 503)
“Whoever prays the two cool prayers (Asr and Fajr) will enter Paradise”. ( Sahih Bukhari 574)
“The head of the matter is Islam, its pillar is the prayer, and its topmost part is Jiha”. (Jami al-Tirmidhi 2616)
