The Power of Dua: Connecting with Allah in Every Situation
Dua is one of the most important acts of worship in Islam, establishing a direct connection with Allah. Its literal meaning in Arabic language is : “to praise Allah”. Its importance can easily be verified by the fact Allah himself said “ “Your Lord says, ‘Call on Me and I will answer you’.” (Holy Quran Surah 40, Verse 60) in the Quran. It is an crucially important tool given by Allah to believers as a way to communicate to him and ask him what we want.
It is a perfect way to communicate to Allah if someone is experiencing hardship, he can ask Allah for forgiveness and easing of his predicament, and he/she can ask Him. The power of Dua and its importance is immense, in connecting a believer with his Lord making them ever closer. Duas importance has been mentioned in the hadith also with a narration of the hadith of the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) as follows: "Dua is the brain of worship”.
